Wait until you get to wall load the both of them with a v-plate! 2 make quite a bit more noise than a single. I'll bet you get an ear to ear grin when you do!

No. Most people here recommend you build one first (or at least go 10 steps ahead of the pack), then build the remaining boxes. That way you don't make the same mistake x amount of times and the remaining boxes are a faster build because you've been through those waters before. You don't realise your errors until 9 steps later, if it is a do-over mistake then you're hooped!

I'm building all 8 at once for a completely different reason   . I run a club with 2 other family members and they are out of town for 4 weeks on vacation. No way they would let me build 8 of these especially if they seen the work involved to build even 1 of them. They wanted a new sound system in place when they got back. Once that happens (this Sunday I think), it'll be too late to give up on them, moneys spent and they'll all be close to being done (or at least look that way)    .

You guys have been sharing some mistakes made so I will share one too. As per the above I have just finished my second Titan 39, except for drivers and a jack plate. Not until I have finished painting, and was stacking my 2 Titans to see how they would stack on top of each other, I discovered I made a terrible mistake. Because of my rush and not referring to the sketchup drawings I lapped the sides and top/bottom the wrong way and have created a Titan 38. The second one is one inch shorter than the first.
I have no good excuse for this...It was just stupid :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

Is the second Titan being 38" tall instead of 39" tall going to make this cab firewood?
The difference in height is entirely between the bottom of the "V" of the horn and the bottom of the cab, all other dimensions are correct.
The outside dimension of the cab doesn't bother me, I'm more concerned with how this might affect the performance of an entire array of four Titans together.
I initially feel that it won't matter as far as the sound, and would only matter about how they will stack, but I wanted you guys expert opinions on this.

Thanks as always.

You could just leave it but it wouldn't be that hard of a fix. A sonic/oscillating saw would be able to cut off (and save to reuse) that bottom panel in 10 minutes. Even the circular saw sled for the sides/back and a hand saw for the bottom of the braces and the corner reflector wouldn't take more than an hour or 2 to cut that bottom off. Some 1" strips of ply PL'd to lengthen the back, sides and braces, some sanding and autobody filler and repainting and it could be fixed in a couple days.

IMO so far on my builds, I've spent more hours racking my brain thinking about my errors than it actually took to fix them. Once you get going you'll wonder why you even bothered to sit there thinking about them. Once you are in the shop your hands will know what to do.

Add a panel to the top and the bottom.....that's one inch.

Or, add two panels to the bottom, then the tops will look right when stacked or standing next to each other.

6 - T39 3012LF
4 - OT12 2512
1 - T24
1 - SLA Pro
2 - XF210

A great idea and simple to make the outside the right size, thanks. So I am assuming that the interior size difference, by this suggestion, is not a problem? Since it would only change the outside dimensions.

I don't believe it would be enough of a problem to worry about. It would probably show up on a graph of a freq sweep. Your ears may never know....

I think you want to ditch the respirator that you used when spraying the 2nd cab. The first cab's 'fire' looks much better, so it looks like you need to be high on fumes to get that effect right! :D

I love the fact that you got away with just one T39 for that gig! It shows off the design well (even with the tea-towel!). Once the rest of your herd is contributing though, it'll be much better

Nice builds btw :)

LOL and Thanks.
Well one thing that was different with the spray painting of the gold is that the second cab had a fresh can and the first was more splotchy because the other can was about empty.
