You sure the iPhone is a recommended driver?
Built:
17" width 10" driver Autotuba
2 x 29" width dual Lab12 Tuba60
6 x DR250 2510/asd1001
In progress:
2 x DR250 2510/asd1001
For best results, point the loud end of the array towards the audience

Haha!

How does that work?

And I can't believe you couldn't manage to get 45 degree chamfers on the corner pieces...
Built:
DR 250: x 2 melded array, 2x CD horn, March 2012 plans.
T39's: 4 x 20" KL3010LF , 2 x 28" 3012LF.
WH8: x 6 with melded array wired series/parallel.
Bunter's Audio and Lighting "like"s would be most appreciated...

I didn't do it, I found the picture looking at an Instructable. It isn't readily apparent (from the picture) how it works. Thought it was funny so I shared it... :cowboy:

Looks like the horn path isn't nearly long enough. Someone emulated the Cerwin Vega horns. I wonder if it does amplify the sound at all though.

My son used to have a store bought unit like this. His was a bit larger. It made a considerable difference in the volume and added a lot of lower freq.
On his the phone laid on top and used an area about 12" long and 3 or 4 inches high as the mouth of the horn facing forward on the front. I have no idea what the path looked like inside.
Never really saw the point in it until the power was out one night and we used it for background music while we played cards by lantern light.

I don't see the point when the iphone has a headphone output. But perhaps connecting the headphone out to a high sensitivity fullrange driver in a miniature rear loaded horn?

Nah, you'd never get enough path length and mouth area in a small box to make any bass, but still - would be interesting to see if you could outperform the store bought stuff.
