Good, cheap casters

#1 Post by Tim A »

If anyone is near a Harbor Freight, they just got in a new caster. 3", solid rubber wheel 1-3/4" or so wide, decent looking chrome plated steel frame instead of plain metal, 275# capacity. $3.50 each.

Not with me. They don't show it on their site unless it's a changed design. I'll try and remember to get it and post when I get home.

I've poured through HD and Lowes and haven't been able to find a decent 3" caster for less than $7. I'll try again, but make sure you're not looking at a light duty version. They'll support the cabinet weight ok, but they'll get trashed when going over lips, small stoops, or on gravel.
