When I click on a topic, I notice some of the icons to the far left (the ones in the circles) change size and wiggle.

What does that indicate?

If it wiggles, you have contributed to that thread
If it is white, there is nothing new to read
If it is orange, there is a new post that has been added since you went into that topic
The black dot might mean it's your thread

Could it mean that you've posted in a thread...

Yep, the dot means you've posted. The orange means you have an unread message. Still can't figure out what the pulsing means........and what is that thing that's pulsing anyway?

Hot topic apparently! Maybe it's the number of posts in a short space of time.

I've just tried viewing the site on tapatalk and I can see all the latest and unread posts etc but the only sub-forum that shows up is the "Authorised Builders Showcase" sub-forum (this is when you tap on the forum name at the top). Can that be fixed or is it a feature/limitation?

I've not used tapatalk much because my favourite site wasn't on it. Guess I'll be using it a whole lot more now! :hyper:
The new site looks great on tapatalk ... the only issue I have is identical to the following:

It's an app that I don't really use. I've got the unread section where I can see the posts as well as the participated section and also see only the Showcase sub forum.

Now, the top levels of this site are configured as categories, where the Auth Builders showcase is actually a forum. So I don't know whether this is a bug with the Tapatalk plugin (it's new to the latest version of PHPBB) or the structure needs changing.

I may experiment with the config to test.
I also follow the tapatalk official forum amd note that there has been a great number of problem issues following their latest release / upgrade. A few users have noted a similar problem to the above and have related the issue to faulty plugin installation.

I don't know if this helps at all.
However I would sure enjoy browsing BFM subforums on my smartbphone just like i do on my laptop. Takes forever to walk backwards thru individual posts to catch something of interest in a different subforum, which is the only way I have figured out for now.

Hey Chris,

Got a PM today. There used to be a nice red letter notification that there's a new PM. Now, it's just up at the top with the number of messages in brackets. Yeah, I got an email too, but it was sure nice when it slapped you right in the face. :slap:

There's not much I can do about the Message popup as Notifications have pretty much replaced everything in the latest version.

I'll also take a look at reinstalling the tapatalk plugin.

Links opening in a new tab would be excellent. I've always hated going back and forth - link>back button>link again for something I missed> back button etc etc

In most browsers, if you middle click the mouse, it will do it for you.

Do you know that the middle click also closes tabs, so you don't have to go hunting for the 'X'
