For some reason I wasn't subscribed to this topic (am now).
Thanks for the advice.
I'll go with ShipItTo.

Yes I do have experience. My monthly parties are outdoors and I haven't had a speaker fall apart yetTitanium Hand wrote:I know it was developed for flooring, anybody got experience with PL in outdoor scenarios?

T39 kit? Even if you itemised, I doubt what they'd know what most items are... would a customs guy know what a DeltaLite 2512 or Lab 12 was?Grant Bunter wrote:Hmmm, don't know if you get on an Aussie customs black list, but you could I guess.
I have had two boxes sent and not been inspected nor paid extra duty on either.
It is not misleading to have the descriptor as: 2 x T39 kit. Fullstop. Because that's what it is.
That customs don't know what a T39 kit is is not your problem.
There is nothing that says that any kit has to be itemised on the Declaration.
I used shipito and selected the best shipping price available.
Note: You have to have a TNT account to use TNT.
DHL express (not DHL) ex california is good and door to door.
And if they have any doubt, they will inspect anyway...

As I said, or go the other method lol.Harley wrote:Sad to hear.
Set up a 'ship to' forwarder in the USA and get Leland to ship drivers to them.
My wife does this with Lego she collects - buys off eBay, instructs to send to the consolidator/forwarder and then they ship. The shipping rates are great too.
Worth supporting IMO, check out Paul's blog Red Spade Audio - I hope he does well from LSK as he gives back a lot to the DIY community
