Hi to all members!

My name is Pedro, from Portugal. Woodworking skills are not very sharp, but I hope to acquire some during the builds
I've been lurking this forum for quite a while (nearly 2 years), and finally decided to take the "leap of faith" and start my build.
I plan to build 4 or 6 T48 + 4 Otop12Jarray.
I have a band that plays mostly outdoors, with attendances of up to 200~300 persons. Pretty heavy competition too, with lots of other bands having much bigger budgets and equipment. Would this setup be ok, regarding our audience size?

Still deciding on the parts supply, wondering about the plywood in particular... I have a supplier here in Portugal that sells 30,06€/sheet (12 mm thick, 1250 x 2500 mm), spec sheet in attachments.
Would this plywood be OK, being 9 layers?

What are your opinions on cut layout optimizers? Are they worth the effort? What do you guys use?

Hi, welcome to the forum.

9 lamination, 12mm birch plywood is great wood to work with and at 30 euros, that's a good price.

With the T48, you can consider making the inside with softwood ply to make them lighter.

What width of T48 and drivers are you considering?

6 T48's (Lab 12/15 3012/3015) and 4 omnitops should be comfortable with 200-300 people outside.

"Russian" birch plywood is great; it's the preferred plywood.

I'm considering the 27 inches wide version loaded with 18sound 15NLW9300 (still trying to find a nice price though ).
Is this the best driver regarding output? I'm still confused as the plans state it must be limited at 80V (+20V than the Lab15) is this correct? Seems a big difference.
There aren't many BFM speakers here in Portugal (I've found one member, but he is far from me), but the messages from the forum do set the expectation very high!

I'm thinking of building one of each as soon as I get the plywood (as drafts), after that I'm thinking about making an "assembly line" for the rest

Working on a tight budget, trying to keep waste to a minimum.

I might be able to find you a decent price on the 18sound drivers. I'll find out and get back to you

I take it would be after 4 or 6 drivers... would you be buying them all in one go???

Yes, I would buy them all in one go, at least 4 of them (depends on the price ). I am still waiting to hear from the eighteen sound portuguese representative about the price.
Can't find many reviews about these drivers, what do you guys think? Are they worth the extra buck?
I'm considering these drivers because I don't want to spend a couple of weeks stuck in a garage making the boxes to end up loading them with a "weaker" driver. Really want to make this build worth it.
