To be fair....you can tell they TOTALLY blew the drivers.
This is why it's important to use a hard limiter if you're going to turn the system to "11."

I think that one made a square wave in one cycle, I guess they don't have fast enough distortion detection to prevent that!SoundInMotionDJ wrote:To be fair....you can tell they TOTALLY blew the drivers.![]()

In order to have a dream come true, you must first dream it!

That's incredible, look at how the compression of the blast creates vapor clouds and how the shock wave mows down plants on the mountain.
I'd say that guy who built 16 T60s forgot to turn the volume down before plugging in his guitar cable.

The visible explosion happened at 0:12. The sound from the shock arrived at about 0:25. That is about a 13 second delay. That looks like "sea level" to me...so the speed of sound is about 340m/s.
So, the boat was 4.4Km or about 2.75 miles from the source. Now that's a giant, earth shattering, kaboom.

Aside from the T60's, that is also an impressive fogger and dry ice machine they are using, might be one of le'maitre's latest offerings. I bet that ship they are using at FOH serves double duty as a genset for the whole gig which must be a rehearsal, not too many punters around.
Built:
17" width 10" driver Autotuba
2 x 29" width dual Lab12 Tuba60
6 x DR250 2510/asd1001
In progress:
2 x DR250 2510/asd1001
For best results, point the loud end of the array towards the audience

That ship is the FOH, genset and tank rig for the CO2....
I have been lucky enough to witness a 9 barrel broadside from the battleship Iowa. From my vantage point about 3500' aft, it was an experience to never forget.
