Outdoor Movie (Used my setup outside for the first time)

#1 Post by jimbo7 »

Last night I brought out all my gear in the backyard for a movie night. I used my SLAs and T24. I make a stand to angle the T24 30 degrees like the sub guide says since I had no boundaries but a concrete patio. Everything sounded so good and clear very with little voltage. it was just like watching a movie in the theaters but with less bass. Another T24 v-plated would've been better. (Maybe next time :fingers: )

so happy with how these turned out. these little cabs can really put out some good clear sound

Taking your speakers outside is great fun, I had some of mine out in the garden enjoying the sunshine at the weekend.

...so I guess you'll be building at least another T24??

I prefer to watch them in my room. It's like the movie theater, but with more bass :D

Isn't it Great to play outside.

I did an outdoor movie for the Youth at a members home for the first time. 110" screen, projector, Behringer mains and 2 T30's 24" wide makes for a great movie experience. I had the mains in front of the screen and T30's off to the side. No v-plate, just side by side. The kids really enjoyed the movie. The home owners really liked it too. They want me to build a permanent setup.

We watched "The secret life of Walter Mitty" I only had to turn it down at the request of the home owners during one scene. They were afraid the neighbors would complain. Over all it was a great time and enjoyed by all.

I still need to finish up my back yard setup, Planning on SLA L/C/R and THT that will have indoor/outdoor duty. Currently we setup screen on one side of pool and project from the other 15' across and use a Kicker Boombox for sound. After watching the movie with the T30's I need to bring the system home and try it out.. Maybe the wife will get the hint that we need it in the back yard :hyper:

I've had the police called out on me on about four separate occasions. Its a rite of passage IMO.

Applause on the great event!
