Got some more work done today. I bought a new toy, Dewalt 18v circular saw. I was finally able to do the access panel with the plunge cut described in the plans. Works like a champ.
All drilled out and lines on both sides. Ready for some panels!

Looking good. You're going to stick this in the garage right? How are you liking your THT? I just got 8/9 braces installed on mine. I flip through your build and I have no idea how you kept your PL and wood clean. I'll be watching this build, as I'm thinking about building one or 2 for my 2 channel. They look really cool.
Yes, this will be a garage / patio party sub. You know those W jigs are the key to keeping everything clean. They allow you to place the wood without it moving at all. No sliding wood means no mess.
As for the THT, yeah, it's great. I got it dialed in a little better. It sounds great. All I hoped for for sure.

"A system with a few knobs set up by someone who knows what they are doing is always better than one with a lot of knobs set up by someone who doesn't."
I'll will never use tee nuts again!! All that epoxying and the extra 'security' screws - what a PITA!
Put them in from the wrong side (i.e. not the driver side) and they are never coming loose, no matter how much you tighten up the bolts. You can use bolts through the driver for alignment if you insert them that way round as well (as you can still access the hex socket).
Too late!!!!! Got the t-nuts epoxied in. Worked pretty well. No major problems. Epoxy is messy but it's ok. Till now I've only used gorilla glue on the T-Nuts, never had a problem. Thought i'd try Epoxy. The application of gorilla glue is better, with the bottle. I think next time, I'll get some syringes. Mix up the epoxy and put it in a small disposable syringe. That way I can apply it more deliberately. I do have the 30 min epoxy and that would give plenty of time to use the syringe.
On the T-Nuts...They did end up close to the edge, but i'll file them down if needed. I used the larger T-Nuts I had on hand. Should not be a problem though. Should be plenty of clearance.
Temporary screws and wood in to hold them in place till they dry...

Ok, long weekend. Panel 2 is on tonight. Looks good. Got the driver test fit and tested for any issues. Perfect. Clamps are your friend. If you have issues getting things perfect, make some W jigs and get more clamps. Makes it a breeze.
Looking good.
Looking good on other side.
