Mathias Schaffhäuser live on BFM Omnitops = Hell yeah!

#1 Post by Truckinve »

Yesterday we had one of the most amazing parties of the year with a legend from Germany Mathias Schaffhäuser, the venue rig includes a pair of OT12s with straight arrays and also TH subs from another site, those ones are using a Precision Devices driver, and the Omnitops are using Deltalites (btw with poplar they are VERY VERY light for fixed install but for touring BB is the way to go). The sound was clean all the night, and OMG those mids   ... I only remember those on top of the line rigs (Dcord Alpha, Lacoust). The only thing we need to work is on the highs , we did some last EQ on the morning before the event and we had to tame them more on the night, if not maybe we will use a beyma Cd and give some treatment to the venue.

I´ll try to post some videos later but in conclusion the Omnitops are very very good. Thank you Bill and the BFM community!

That was the thought I had with my rig's first outing. I was thinking that you only get sound like that if you pay a LOT for a top of the line system (outside of the BFM world of course). I then kept realizing that this wasn't a one-off, as that sound was mine and it would be with me wherever I went  I couldn't help grinning like a cheshire cat when I realized that fact - and writing this has just reminded me again
I think a "Bwoahahahahahaha!" is in order :D

Late to reply, but... minimal/tech eh, how were those filtered noise sweeps?
