For most BF rigs, the PA+ is a better choice, as it has crossover, limiter, and a reasonable EQ (and AutoEQ) in the box. DCX is a bit more versatile in its routing, but the EQ section is a little limited once you start doing a bunch of crossover slopes, as the box runs out of DSP power way too quickly. It's intended to be used with the DEQ anyway.
99% of the time, things that aren't already being done aren't being done because they don't work. The other 1% is split evenly between fools and geniuses.
