G'day Mate
Good to see someone of like mind posting on here for advice - I was living with the "MWA crew" whilst they started on the Grounded Sound System that you'd mentioned in the other thread. It's an impressive stack of plywood, and I'm really proud to see what they're doing now and wish I was there for the fun even though I parted ways to live a more "domestic" life with a girlfriend and cats
Do you get up to Sydney much? Even though there are less big events and no warehouse parties any more, a few people are putting together their own smaller DIY rigs. Could be worth a research visit when the right chance arises
I spent 18 months in Canbrah for work, unfortunately didn't get out to many doofs but can see the opportunities that you could create for yourself with a small/medium rig of your own
Will reply tomorrow in your advice thread, with a few Aus-centric bits of info that could help...

Re: Hello from Canberra Australia!
Hey mate,
Great to know we have a tenuous connection. Met Tim and Ed and some of the other lads from MWA at Regrowth. They seem like pretty cool 'grounded' dudes.
You'll have to come down for Dragon Dreaming this year. I am kind of on the cusp of the doofs. used to be way more into it but hard to keep up with all the smaller parties and live a 'domestic' life working in an office.
Me and my mate are also into more chilled out, UK bass and dub vibes rather than 170bpm slamming darkpsy all night. At the moment head out to only two a year - Dragon and regrowth which have a nice, small relaxed and sustainable vibe which i appreciate and the locations are pretty speccy.
Get up to sydney every 2 months or so. My brother is at uni there and occasionally i go up for REGEN gigs at the manning bar or hermans. Tim said he would have to get me up to play one time, but i dont know how regular they are putting on shows.
Do you play or produce? If we do get something going I'll have to get you down, but yeah think the Brahs crying for something solid.
Cheers
