Templates for plywood layouts

#1 Post by Knuckle Bones »

So I tend to sit and analyze a lot before I start any project. I would like to end up with four DR290s per side....that's a lot of manual layout on plywood. So I think I'm going to get a sheet of ABS plastic, layout the pieces then cut them out and use those as templates to layout the plywood. Anybody else do anything like this or have a better way to do "production line" style work?

Figure out what you're doing with the first box, that way you'll be sure the templates are correct. I've considered them, but find after doing a dozen or two DRs that laying them out is second nature and I've never bothered. Harley is the 'Henry Ford' here, I'd go by his advise.
