So I'm finally back at it. 9 weeks of not getting around to it because of a meniscus tear/breakdown in my right knee, and winter in general. .. Pictures to come.

Have a question about breaking in my BP-102.. actually the amp I'm going to use to drive it. I have a QSC USA1310 amp. Does it hurt this amp to run one side breaking in the BP-102 and nothing on the other side of the amp? I've read that Solid State amps aren't damaged if ran without a driver attached, but I've always been concerned about that..

So to answer my own question, I'll just attach a junk speaker and not drive that channel... duh.. :idea: :idea:

Finally got some time to get back to this. As soon as I wire up the speakon jack connectors, and secure the wiring internally, I'm ready to put the side on. Because of some bowing of the wood when I put it together, There is a spot inside when I lay the side on that will have about a 3/32" gap. I can pull that down and should be good with it. The sealed chamber looks like it will be tight all around, but I will seal it up inside after the side is on.

What a project!!

Nice tidy build so far, keep up the good work!
Built:
DR 250: x 2 melded array, 2x CD horn, March 2012 plans.
T39's: 4 x 20" KL3010LF , 2 x 28" 3012LF.
WH8: x 6 with melded array wired series/parallel.
Bunter's Audio and Lighting "like"s would be most appreciated...

Thanks Grant. I hope I can put the last side on it tomorrow. It will be a while before I get to the level of building and equipment you have in your Light and Sound setup. Nice Facebook page too!

Nah it's all smoke and mirrors lol

With the cabs, paint hides a multitude of patches.
Lighting hides the rest!

Well, got the rest done and the side put on. So I think I just had a "Welcome to my World" moment with bondo... :wall:

Gee... How could a golf ball size of that stuff make such a mess! I used two plastic bondo applicators just mixing it. I used a lot of hot mud in the past, but this is like 5 minute mud! Proper ventilation means outside in a stiff breeze!! I can still taste it. But, dang... it sure fills in the holes...

I think I could tape a house with PL and make less of a mess. Glad it does harden. Even gladder that I have a lot of 80 grit sandpaper. Smaller amount, and a smaller knife to apply it with next time.

Still stinks! :noob:

Ha ha,
If your bondo is going off in 5 minutes, try just a little less hardener, and try not to overwork it when mixing. I get 7-10 minutes when I use it. Means I get at least one side and one top (or bottom) per mix and that's all filling screw holes...

I used a little less hardener this time. Had more working time, and mixed it with a stick instead of the plastic paddle. Worked pretty well.

One quart is going to go a LONG way.. I'll have to find other uses for it other than this cab.
