99% of the time, things that aren't already being done aren't being done because they don't work. The other 1% is split evenly between fools and geniuses.
Saw this on BBC news. They were talking about £10,000 (or was it $10,000). It's gone a magnitude higher and still has 3 hours to go! Best of luck to the seller for getting his money out of the winning bidder!! As it has been in the news, I bet there's a few bids in there.
Well I hope the seller doesn't have a problem collecting once it's sold...that would suck. I just had my first experience with two non-payers who won bids this past December.
Donny Collins Built:
Two 18" Tuba 30's 3012 LF
Two 26" Tuba 30's Lab 12
Two OmniTop 12's DL 2512 (Melded Array)
Presonus Studio One DAW
Harrison Consoles MixBus 32C DAW
If you look at the bidding history, it seems that the bidders generally have reasonably high feedback scores. There were a few bids between 60k and 90k that were from questionable accounts, but the higher bids seem legit.
This will set a record if the sale goes through.

There really are something sexy about the way that PC board look. Makes a novice like me wonder how these (as far as I can tell) Mostly IC's and a few resistors can translate into a playable game? It feels kind of strange and cool to see the components "Made in Japan"... where nowdays everything are "Made in China"!
I kind of like the 'electro' look..... Here's one from my 'other' hobby: Building guitar effects. This is a workalike (not a clone) of the venerable Cornish G-2, with additional refinements.
Don't worry about missing pieces: I don't put the transistors in until ready to run....
