There are people in this world that have too much money.
99% of the time, things that aren't already being done aren't being done because they don't work. The other 1% is split evenly between fools and geniuses.

Saw this on BBC news. They were talking about £10,000 (or was it $10,000). It's gone a magnitude higher and still has 3 hours to go! Best of luck to the seller for getting his money out of the winning bidder!! As it has been in the news, I bet there's a few
bids in there.

Well I hope the seller doesn't have a problem collecting once it's sold...that would suck. I just had my first experience with two non-payers who won bids this past December.

If you look at the bidding history, it seems that the bidders generally have reasonably high feedback scores. There were a few bids between 60k and 90k that were from questionable accounts, but the higher bids seem legit.
This will set a record if the sale goes through.

That's interesting....775 100% feedback...wonder if he'll use Paypal for that?

Presumably not.. paypal's fee would be huge.
Wire transfer, probably.

There really are something sexy about the way that PC board look. Makes a novice like me wonder how these (as far as I can tell) Mostly IC's and a few resistors can translate into a playable game? It feels kind of strange and cool to see the components "Made in Japan"... where nowdays everything are "Made in China"!

I kind of like the 'electro' look..... Here's one from my 'other' hobby: Building guitar effects. This is a workalike (not a clone) of the venerable Cornish G-2, with additional refinements.

I hear that, apparently, the winner is the seller's 2 year old who accidentally bid at the last moment.Bill Fitzmaurice wrote:And the winner is:
