How do they do that?
Is there some kind of reflective tape on the wood?
Or is it all done by a projector?

Nothing that could be taken down after each show I presume?

It's done by projector, fed by a computer.
This is the website.

One needs a bit of a stack going on for that, though the irony of doing it on a pair of stick mounted jack 10's, 20 foot apart, works for me. Somewhere like bobs place could use it well. There's a Tuff Cab clear paint that has glitter/flake in it - I'm not well up on paint for projector screens, but that might work, or white cabs plus clear on top, and just project the music videos straight onto them, for novelty.

I have a mate who does projection mapping. He often just uses a plywood sign with the club's logo on, painted white. Add projector and an hour or 2 actually mapping the thing, and you have one badass lightshow. Their projector mounts were a bit rough though - they used shopping baskets!

Ahh!, ....so you map the cab edges/lines, and specify different areas/regions, etc., and the software does the rest, with a music / Mic feed...?

Yes, that's pretty well much it. If you have a surface that is not at 90° to the projector, you can compensate when performing the initial mapping to allow for this distortion. Areas can also be allowed/not allowed to be projected onto. Add this all together, and you end up with something like the stuff they have done in the vid (although I think they may have done a few extra 'fancy' features to get it looking like it does).

The initial setup is done by projecting a grid, and then you deform that to get the mapping. The computer then uses this mapping when projecting to then make it look kickass!

Hope that makes sense :)
