What was the result on that?

I haven't done it yet 88.. I do plan to give it a try once they're installed in the club just to make a point

As for subs, well bass doesn't damage hearing like highs do (I'm not sure about when it gets to the achey ear pressuring level like sticking your head in one of them, or the 80-100Hz range but I've never worried about hearing damage from bass) and there are people out there doing this!

Its never overkill :loler: When I first fired up the system with just a pair of DR280's it sounded great and had a shitload of headroom, I was happy.. Then I hooked up all 6 and was blown away, obviously it could play louder but what was much more noticeable is it sounded bigger if that make sense..

Bill recommends never series wiring separate cabs, says you should only series wire dual driver cabs.
Built:
2x Tuba 30s delta12lf loaded (gone)
4x Otop12 d2512 loaded
8x t48s (18, 18, 24, 24, 30, 30) 3015lf loaded
2x AT (1 mcm, 1 gto 804)
2x SLA Pro (dayton pa6, 6 goldwood piezo loaded)
1x bastard XF208

2x OT212 (delta pro 450a loaded, eminence psd)

At some point if you find you're using 1/60th of the Macrotech's power would you consider downgrading to a dozen or so Lepai 40w amps? Y'know, for a giggle?

As long as the one Macrotech can put out the same voltage as you're utilizing from multiples, it should run fine. Series parallel doesn't do anything magical. It increases your voltage handling and increases the impedance over parallel only, but still requires the same amount of current flow to produce the same output.

I hope the building didn't collapse on the initial testing/soundcheck. Bob, are you there?

Glad to hear you're OK, Bob. We were worried about you. Throw up some pics of the club build out process; that's a huge part of this thread too!

Unfortunately the club build out was at a halt for a nearly a month due too the incredibly incompetent building and fire inspectors.. Getting them to show up and do there jobs is quite difficult in this particular town :( We finally got through all that and had the sprinkler system upgraded and are now onto the blue board install.. Good news is I can start taking some pics of the install soon :hyper: Meanwhile I got a huge jump start on the other cabs and steal work!

I know there is SO much work that goes into building BFM cabs; but man, you post updates of brand-new cabs sitting in the middle of an unfinished room...that YOU built...like you ordered pizza or something. You make it look so easy. I honestly am in envy of your skills, Bob. And I'm darn glad to know you. :cowboy:

Thanks Mike! You got some skills yourself my friend! I have to admit though the tools and jigs really help to make me look good :) I can put these suckers together quick now! Im gonna jig a few more cabs that I've been dying to try out soon, like a Titan, maybe a AT or possible a DR200 lol I'll prob have to try them all..
