2.83 volts

#1 Post by brodave2 »

I want to test my older cabs and the new ones I am building. I have the wherewithal to send test tones and/or pink noise to my speakers. How do I know when I am sending them one watt? How is the 2.83 volt tested?

Testing speakers is an involved proceedure. This is the best source available if you want to learn how to do it:

I own a copy Joe D'Appolito's book. Excellent reading, and as much depth as you want. He includes enough pictures for the math-impaired, so the book isn't lost.

Highly recommended.
My biggest worry is that when I'm dead and gone, my wife will sell my toys for what I said I paid for them.
