Weight difference between Baltic Birch and Auruco Plywood?

#1 Post by plugyourears »

Does anyone have a number for the weight difference between 1/2" Baltic Birch and 1/2" Auruco Plywood? I have searched all over the internet to try to find the answer, but I am surprised I can't find it.

I recall (but can not locate my notes) that a 4x8 sheet of arauco weighted 42 pounds. I have no data on BB.

This claims auraco to be 1.3 pounds per sq. foot.....thus a 4x8 would be 41.6 pounds.

For future reference......google is your friend. I typed "weight of baltic birch" then did the same for Auraco.
