only 25 volts bob :loler: , there's still 6dB to be gained. I'm starting to get a bit jealous here and that's just remembering how a stack of court-bins or Martins s15's felt like ripping apart the building on tracks from Farley jackmaster funk and the like

ever since I sold off my old hornloaded rig when I was 27 I've been chasing the performance I had back then. Now I'm 45 and guess what, I'm back to hornloaded

enjoy man enjoy!!! seeing how involved you are building these, you really deserve this rig to be everything you expect out of it and I'm sure it will be ........ and then some!

Unleash those fifty volts per sub!! Warning, brace your garage first. Your ears may feel unequalised and numb from the pressure!
I definitely give that a try.. Not sure how long my head will be able to take that though..
That is the most awesome picture I have ever seen on this website. I'm not sure I can fully imagine what that sounds and FEELS like. Bob; do you have a large-ish, open lot behind the shop? Can you get that rig outside and let it rip? I'm sure the tin walls of the shop are giving echoes from hell. Not to mention you might actually BREAK your shop if you crank it.
Thanks mike, I wish I did.. As it is I wait until 5pm so the local businesses close, they called the cops on me the first day and I was only running 2 DR's and 4 Tubas lol.. I am going to transfer them to the club this week and put some plastic over them to keep them clean.. I might fire them out just to see what they can do in the bigger space.
Amazing.
I'm not sure why, but my brain only saw the stack of T60's for the first half a dozen looks at this pic, Then the DR's came into view lol

I can only half imagine what it all sounds like as well, it's totally different league to my rig.
Good on you! To date you've shown some great build skills and take stuff on board without fuss.
I hope what you've built so far exceeds what you expected in terms of performance and excites you about completing enough cabs for your venues...
Thanks Grant I appreciate the kind words! I'm sure your rig is insane as well, this one is just a little bigger  These 110% lived up to the hype on this forum!

Thanks Disco.. My first experience with Horns was a THT. It baffled me that it could destroy all my commercial offerings and I've been a believer since.. This week I am going to work up the courage to push it to 35 ish volts just for shits and giggles. If you guys never hear from me again its because I got arrested :fruit:

Bob, I hear by start the "Get hifibob out of jail fund". If in the time it takes you to test your rig you do get haul off to the county hotel I have a cool $50 to add to the pot to help get you out.
It's the least I could do for a system build of this magnitude taken on by one person to help spread the BFM word.
If you get hauled off have your better half let us know and we will get you out :chainsaw:
When this system is installed and tuned I am going to make a trip to see it first hand.

LOL! They called the cops on you the very first time you fired it up? How typical of your "average non-audio type person." :? I am now obligated to link this video. I'm sure you've seen it. Just concentrate on the first thing out of her mouth. "It looks loud. Is it loud? It cannot be loud" about 100x. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2hRApdLADA

You'll be very happy once you have them setup in the club. Playing into a larger, not so reverberant (anything's better than tin walls!) space, they will really shine. And by shine, I mean knock loose anything not either bolted down or weighing less than 50lbs. :D

Don, Your more than welcome to meet me here in Ohio and I will drive the rest of the way. That being said I have room for 4 more if they would like to join us. It would be a BFM reunion on wheels with the epicenter being hifbob's new club.

If you guys could make it up here that would be sweet.. We should get Bill and whoever else on board to make some sort of day of it..

A building about a mile from my place (The old Foley's building) was imploded on Sunday. I heard what I later found out was the charges going off, and the first thing I thought was, "What is that yankee in Boston up to?"

BTW how much voltage have you pushed the DRs to? Bearing in mind loud highs are tougher on the hearing than bass is.
Actually I havent checked to be honest.. They are on cruise control, barely breaking a sweat. I will check tomorrow though.

Oh I forgot.. The electrician just finished up my new service... My Macrotechs are licking their chops.. 600 volts @ 400 amps should supply some healthy power for BFM rig!!
