Save a little bit of money if you don't mind reconditioned / used tools.
I got that in a email (i'm a registered by way of my Domino )
But like me buying a new car If I'm spending that much I'd rather have new and start at Zero miles on a unit . to bad they don't offer that on accessories L O L .......

No I hadn't ... but as far as I know the REQ model is an updated version of mine. Basically the same but a couple of specifications got tweaked to make it better.
And of course it came out pretty much immediately after I purchased mine!!

maybe they will send you the new model instead of fixing yours

Heh, some hope... but I was considering getting the new model. Just because! I dunno, sometimes I think I have some kind of upgrade sickness or addiction. It's the same with my truck. Nothing wrong with it but, look!! .... ohhhh shiny shiny!!!
This would be a great opportunity to get a 6 month old TS-55 (just repaired) that would allow me to upgrade
It came in Friday and I was gone all weekend but here's my initial thought upon opening it up: Heck yeah!
I've only used it a few minutes really so no long term impressions but it seems to be decent quality for the money. Keep in mind for me this is just an occasional use saw because I have a pretty nice shop where I can rip sheet goods up to 48" wide so this was an impulse kind of buy. I only use a circ saw for the angle cut on the end of Tuba cabs and plunge cuts for the bigger access panels. My go to circular saw has been a little 6.5 inch saw that works great with a straight edge jig http://www.cpooutlets.com/factory-recon ... cular-saws
For me the dust collection part is more important than ripping a straight line because a circ saw with a jig works just fine. However, if I didn't have a nice shop and I only needed a saw to build a few cabinets for my band I would go with this one in a heartbeat. There's no play in the track so I'm sure the cuts are gonna be right on. 9 amps isn't super powerful but for the 1/2" stuff we do it's more than enough. $139 versus a Festool? I'd only go Festool if it was my main tool or money didn't mean anything to me.
