Wedgehorn 10

#1 Post by Ivan Posa »

I have just finished the first of 4 WH 10s and fired it up. Wow!!! It goes seriously loud. If you stick to reasonable foldback levels, you can EQ the bass way up so having Bass guitar and kick drom thru them will be no problem, especially so for music styles below the loudest of rock. The coverage off axis is especially good and cannot see where more than 4 WH 10s would ever be needed on any stage. I have a P-Audio SN 10 MB 10 inch "woofer" and the 3x3 piezos and will be using a pair of ART SLA2 amps with separate EQ for each of the 4 channels. This should be a very high quality and cost effective foldback system. Thanks Bill for another great design. Highly recommended!!!!! :D :D :D

WH10 drivers

#2 Post by Ivan Posa »

I auditioned a WH10 for a friend in the sound business today and he and his staff were very impressed. Comments were that it was a very warm and full sounding box, and that was with no EQ applied. I havent tested with a mic in a live situation as yet, but I am sure that fedback problems will be greatly reduced since there is no compression driver used.
