Shock rack units

#1 Post by Charles Jenkinson »

Has anyone made shock/vibration absorbing rack units? I thought I'd ask here.

It makes no sense buying nice amps and other bits and bobs if they're going to get vibrated to hell in rack mounts that provide no attenuation for bumps or wheeling on trolleys/castors, etc. The standard shock mount rack units seem quite pricey for a few bits of angle and rubber bushes.

I just make mine out of 1/2" BB and put rubber feet on the bottom. $30 tops for a 4U.
