First ones together and tested (excluding duratex). Just ran a 30hz test at 40+ volts....yeah, its basically freaking amazing. Hell, 10 volts will shake my entire house!

I couldn't even imagine eight of these v-plated, seriously.

Issues: One leak on the top left corner, ill pull that cover off to duratex it anyway so ill address that then... you can see that it needs a couple more bolts and t nuts on it anyway....seven more to go

yes the tnuts can be annoying. definitly epoxy them, and secure them with a tiny screw if you can. run all bolts through the t nut before installation.

Very impressive! Hope you've got a DSP's HP filter protecting the sub. That song has significant content below 45Hz. That's approximately the freq where my ported studio monitors cease output and just fart out. PL the heck out of that leak and press on, brother! I will be mounting 32 hurricane nuts in the baffles tomorrow. Not looking forward to drilling the tiny hole for the tiny screw in each one.

Re-coning my last two 3015lf's. I had originally re-coned all eight but two didn’t turn out right. Luckily I had two extra re-cone kits. Turns out if you want to buy kits cheap from a dealer they need to come in sets of ten; at least from Eminence. That means mounting three more subs, cutting and mounting three more access covers and the Titans are done. My dad likes to paint so I am putting him on paint duty; then I am off to the mysterious land of the Dr 280’s.

Wow, hats off to you on the reconing. That's uncharted territory for me. Just so many unknowns and no guarantees with that! A question: After all is said and done, do you feel that the money you saved vs. buying new drivers was worth all the PITA you dealt with reconing the drivers? "Because stuff goes wrong" is why I won't buy used electronics unless I can authenticate where they came from and how they were used, OR, if they have a money back guarantee. But seriously, good on you for doing all this!

lucky you to get a 10 pack. As soon as I get my tax ID number I'll be placing an order for a 10pack of those and a couple lab12s I think.

IIRC, he did knowingly buy a bunch of blown 3015LFs...from someone here, IIRC. Big brass ones, he's got.

the recone is intimidating on try number one but it gets easier. all it takes is patience.

I was afraid to recone too, but once i started it was not too bad. Just gotta be careful. I kinda of enjoy reconing now. Yeah, i saved a ton by reconing because i got the drivers so cheap. Probably have a hundred or less n each if i remember correctly.

I have 3015lf recone kits fyi. In stock. I keep a box around most of the time. But damn I hate shipping the things. They are incredibly hard to pack.

Doh. I use styrofoam peanuts I scrounge from stuff I get, but never seem to have enough.
