I'm runnin' out of wood and was wondering about putting a patch in this area: OR, do you think this would be too weak an area for such a patch.
I've got 3 or 4 pieces just inches short :(

It should be fine, if in doubt use a biscuit joint.

Patch it. If you don't have a biscuit joiner, use a cleat with wax paper to hold it in place.

Rip, any updates on your DR250? Installed at the church already? If yes, how do they sound?

yea, I delivered two on Saturday and cranked them up for a few minutes (NO EQ) just for the wow factor. And, discussed placement options and such. I'll post up some final pics today sometime while the duratex bakes in the sun on the final side. :)

Thanks Bob. I never did finish this thread so here's a couple shots before needed details are done:
The sides aren't Duratexed because I did not know if the church wanted handles or not. Turns out they
are flying them so it's taking forever for engineering permits and such.
The stack is three because I couldn't lift that high. :)
