Thanks Disco! The time is definitely well spent building them.. I can really bang these things out now...
This one seems to be the most helpful so far.. Cuts the top and bottom panels but also makes drawing the layout lines without all that measuring and compass work.

Took me about 20 minutes to do all 12 of these once jig was finished.

The thread's amazing both for how clean everything's going together and indeed the sheer size of the project.

Thank you guys for the kind comments.. I'm really enjoying this build, I wake up every morning trying to figure out a way to fit the wood shop into my schedule lol..

Today I had some time to get the top and bottoms on all 6 cabs. For the life of me I couldn't get them perfectly square! Then it occurred to me, turn them on their side :hyper:

Then they went together pretty quick.

then I got all the sheath braces cut up..

Some people "Are good/decent with woodworking" and other people "Just have a stupid amount of skill." You absolutely fall into the latter category. On my best day I couldn't turn out anything close to what you seem to bang out as easy as eating pie. I am thoroughly enjoying this thread and the great pics. Thanks and here's to continued success! *insert beer icon here*

AFAIK Harley doesn't own a Harley. I just hope he wasn't named after his place of conception.

So, Harley's not his real name then?

I think we need a My real name thread.

Harley Maurice Dear appears on my passport and my birth certificate

Bill's right. I don't own a Harley. The War Office rides one occasionally though.

Well it never to late to get one :D

Today I had a meeting with with my adjoining neighbor that is concerned about the noise level the cub is going to create.. Well I just giggled lol.. he wants me to do something to help absorb/block the noise, again I just giggled.. My answer to him was your going to hear this a block away, hence the reason for locating it in this commercially zoned area.. Needless to say I gave him Bills number because its his fault  After that I headed to the shop and managed to get all the sheath cleats and back braces installed.. I m sure glad I kept my Tuba scraps, I basically used all scrap to do these parts :hyper:

When is the opening date for the first club? If this isn't an excuse for a BFM gathering, I don't know what is!!

that would be pretty cool! It would be nice to put face to all these names lol.. We just pushed the date up to mid September, this date hopefully will stick since we officially have everything approved now.
