Can you get hold of a battery powered circular saw?
Take a ruler and pencil as well, cut off some bit's based on a cutlist (a bit oversized in case you mess up), throw em in the car and your' off and running and no one is the wiser
Hell, if I was heading that way soon, I'd throw em in the back of the truck for you, as full sheets...

Is There a "Mister Ply and Wood" anywhere near you? They will cut it up for you with precision.
Are you anywhere near Hurstville? Or the Southern Highlands? I travel there for ongoing maintenance projects from time to time. I've a Van and Hilux might be able to help you out

In regards to Aus suppliers, has anyone looked for the "Selenium ADF25" compression horn adaptor, its a female 1 3/8 18tpi to 3 bolt flange, for fitting male thread comp drivers to the diffraction horns. I've 12 comp drivers to use up, so until a bolt on replacement is found... ordered some from Speaker Hardware to get me out of trouble, but again, just the shipping makes them expensive to use in bulk. One option here is th P Audio PC-25, AT $19ea!

Thanks Grant, those have an external thread mate, need to be a female thread to accept a male threaded comp driver, I saw them there on those two sites, been searching for days! Thanks again for your time. I'll have another look at Dj citys ws.
Keryn O'Shea wrote:Dj city has the female threaded ones! Must've overlooked them as they're alloy, not plastic! Happy days, thanks Grant!
Ooops lol
Didn't twig.
Great news you found them here though!

edit: 2017.
A number of Aussie builders have tried the LB1560 in T48's with good success and no reports of failure...

As yet, these are unproven in Bill's designs. Any Aussie who wants to take a punt and build some cabs with these, please report your findings...
I looked at their woofers for tops also. Spec wise they look OK, but they don't have the rising response in the mids that Eminence do, so they'd need more EQ assist in the 1kHz-2kHz region. But the prices look a lot better than I've seen for other useful drivers down under.

Based on Aussie pricing (depends where you look) it's only a bit cheaper than a beta 10a for DR250, WH10, Jack 10 etc, but only 1/3 of the price of a Deltalite 2510. This driver will save you just over 1kg in cab weight as well.
Also found while searching:
Ceceres in SA is linked to musicconnection.com.au, the Aussie Eminence distributor.
It seems they have entered the online market with (some) Eminence drivers. While the pricing doesn't compete with USA prices, it seems they are offering discounts on some products.
etc etc.
Go to http://www.ceceres.com.au/
and type eminence speaker number eg 3015lf in the search box on their page to find speaker pricing.

Just about to buy two Titan T39 kits (with Lab12s) from Speaker Hardware.
Who is the best shipping company to use?
I really don't want to attract any import duties and other costs.
Consolidation looks cheaper, but I don't want the multiple drivers to attract customs.
Got caught once before with four $100 sub drivers (total of $400) attracting well over $1000 worth of import duty, customs handling, unpacking, re-packing, transfers, etc, etc. Note that the items were well under $1000, but I still got copped.

Then I would strongly suggest that you not import items without declaring them for customs. In case you don't realize it, your name and address is now on international shipping watchlists, as a previous absconder. This means that anything with your name or address will, in all likelyhood, be thoroughly examined by customs. You are much better off complying with all importing laws and duties. I am not up on Australian importing laws, tarriffs and duties, but check into importing "non-operational" or used repair parts.
I know money often seals the deal, but seriously, quality is an investment, not an expense... Grant Bunter

Hmmm, don't know if you get on an Aussie customs black list, but you could I guess.
I have had two boxes sent and not been inspected nor paid extra duty on either.
It is not misleading to have the descriptor as: 2 x T39 kit. Fullstop. Because that's what it is.
That customs don't know what a T39 kit is is not your problem.
There is nothing that says that any kit has to be itemised on the Declaration.
I used shipito and selected the best shipping price available.
Note: You have to have a TNT account to use TNT.
DHL express (not DHL) ex california is good and door to door.
And if they have any doubt, they will inspect anyway...
