As soon as I heard the first of these I got a little excited and my brain went "YOU NEED ANOTHER ONE OF THESE!" As for why they're singles well these are living in my house for the time being so if they were any bigger they'd be a nightmare to get in the door. That and they're not light so anything which makes them easier to move is probably for the best. Also it's the most sane use of ply, an 8x4 sheet can be ripped quite nicely into 17" wide panels with little waste when cutting the sides out.

I'm yet to put wheels on any of my cabs, most of the time it's just me hauling stuff about so I invested in one of these beauties
Image

and it's about as good as it gets. The big pneumatic tyres mean you can haul them over pretty much any ground and also helps hauling things up steps. Make sure the heavy part of the sub is at the bottom and it's a doddle to move them about.

As for the T60 being too big, you realise you can stand it on end, right? Fire it at the ceiling and then your footprint is as small as any other cab really... I popped a speakon in the cut out section by panel 9 as well as one on the back.

Image

This way I can stand it up if I need to or I can just connect it this way when they're sat in a corner so there's no cables running out of the back. The speakon is fitted into a ridiculously tight hole with a bunch of gasket tape all around it, trimmed tight. As you can see, no chances were taken with this leaking...

Beautiful, my wife just let me use her PayPal account so that I could buy the plans

That cab is looking unreal with that flash wood, almost a shame to Duratex the bugger.

I really want to make the dual so I've only the one cab to lug about and store, albeit a freaky hooooge one. I'd just really like to make it 726.2mm wide to ensure I can fit in 99% of doors.....

I'll have the plans shortly so wont have to hijack your thread any further, sorry about that and best of luck finishing off your fleet!

You'll have to get them from her. We cannot ship plans to an address that is not listed on the PayPal account. Is clearly says so on the 'How to Order Plans' page, but despite that I'd say one out of five fail to read/comprehend that bit of information. :wall:

Bill you assume that his wife doesn't live at the same address as him. As far as I know some married couples actually live in the same household. :loler:

Built me a little jiggy device to go with the ancient router that's lived in the garage for years.

Oh man, router circles are truly the one.

Got all the panels ripped to width with only a couple of the little piddly ones to do but I'll sort those as I'm going along. This is all going too well at the minute, I'm wondering when something disastrous is going to happen...

Ain't that the truth :)
I love my little home brew router circle cutting jig.

How about when you accidentally set the sub amp to 11 then start something like Crimson Tide, K19, Hunt For Red October or Das Boot and hit the first depth charge. Pray your house is solid and there are no bottles of red wine or jars of mayonnaise near the edge of any cabinet shelves.

I will once again sing the praises of this beautiful ply. I popped panel 8 on earlier and I barely had to nudge it half a mm to get it straight. I am in love.

Also I totally made a jig so I can do handles easy, check this:

Bad. Ass. 8)

Here's where I left it:

So I mentioned waiting for things to go wrong? I've killed the router but then it was old anyway so no hard feelings really. It seems as though the contacts for the motor have come loose as it'll work if it's jammed in one direction (ie: you use it leaning on it one way) but the other just kills it. Annoying but whatever.

That may be worn brushes, easy to replace. Google how to do it.

Can you take a picture of the handle jig you made and explain how to make one? It would save me ~ 2 hours, because I'm slow at handle making.
