Thanks for links.
I am a bass player in a Funk/Soul band.
I also play drums, trombone and I have a turntable for scratching at home.
My intention was to make a versatile PA system, could be used at low volume in house and at high volume for our little gigs (less than 100 pers).
So the main PA system would be composed by two fullrange cabs, but with the possibility to add sub when the audience are more importante or for outdoor gigs.
The resonnement is it correct ???
The band is composed as follow :
- 1 singer with 1 mic
- 1 tenor sax player with 1 mic
- 1 trumpet player with 1 mic
- 1 electric guitare player sometimes in PA by DI (I think it's not necessary most of time)
- 1 electric bass player (4 strings) sometimes in PA by DI (I think it's not necessary most of time)
- 1 drummer with 1 mic for snare and 1 mic for bass drum (I think it's not necessary most of time)
So in your opinion, what's BFM Cabs are indicated for my utility considering these two configuratons ?
- PA for 3 mics only (singer, sax, trumpet)
- PA for 5 mics (singer, sax, trumpet, drum), E Guit, E Bass (I think this configaration is too much for our gigs but ...)
Of course cheaper and more portable is it, better it will
