Now that's a write up. Its got me thinking in a terribly Non-BFM-Compliant way, I'm still a noob so don't crucify me please :|

The scared feeling Dave-Non-Zero spoke of, that's what I miss down low on the T39's. They give me that same feeling, as advertised, higher in the frequency range, I couldn't go without that now. Its bliss.
I'm well aware that we aren't meant to mix different species but wouldn't the addition of a T60 slim, two or a dually, suitably crossed, EQ'd and possibly delayed, fill out the bottom end of the Titans astonishingly :?: Inducing fear and aural terror throughout the majority of the sub passband?

After reading a post something like "The autotuba sounds nicer or cleaner higher up the frequency range than the T60" (can't remember the author) has me thinking every choice is a compromise to some extent.... unless we can have our bass and eat it too by some kind of BFM Co-existence

The T60,s are only better if you have the music to play that as enough low,s. Its like having a 180 mile car in a 70 speed limit, you,ve got the go but you can,t use it.
built 4 T30 24in BP102 now sold 2 DR280
2 speakerplans 1850, 2 MT102 ,2 X15, 1 G sub now sold
2 T60,s Built plus 4 DR280,s in the build

I have to disagree, there is not a lot of content down there but it is there. It also creates a new game, find the music that plays nice with your sub. Also I view it as hz headroom, if you are pushing your subs to their bottom limit I don't think they sound as good ones that can breeze past those lows. IMO of course. Would I use a T60 for live music, probably not.

As for the car scenario you have a hell of a lot of fun getting to 70mph, on ramps become something to look forward to. And once and a while there is a time and place for 100+ mph.

Is the pants-shitting bass worth the size? I'm thinking about buildin a pair of slims, I can handle my t39s nicely, how much would a 20" wide weigh?
Before Fitzmaurice, big bass could only be had with just a hook and a nightcrawler.

Ooops, forgot to answer this....yes it is. I see you built some of these too....so now you know. I keep wanting to do my back a favor and build some T48s or carry on my T39s but it is called an addiction for a reason. Long live the big horn!

i can back that up haha I don't feel burdened by the size from going from a single t39. these things are monsters... in sound that is. in a house (or should i say garage) you will need a supply of light bulbs as they shake the filaments out.

Have you weighed your 19 inch T60? I'm currently planning a build and it would be great if I could compare the size to a THT as that is its current rival (can you say large, loud, and low?). I currently have a slim T39 and it is only useful if I'm drunk because I like my lows :(. Have you ever used T60's for movies? I imagine it could match a THT in all except the last 5 Hz in room with cabin gain giving you more like 22 Hz extension.

A 19-inch T60 is 120 pounds? Sheesh! I'm afraid to ask what a full-size T60 weighs! Wheels are NOT optional with those, apparently.

They are if you use a trolley/sack truck. :P

...but yes, not light at all though I'd take heavy over light on bass.

It's super easy to handle, it is it's own handtruck. Once you balance it over the wheels you're just pushing it. and with the length you just place the mouth on the edge of your van in the trunk, pick up the back and slide in. To me it's easier to handle than my t39.

120 is not that bad, for reference a MFW-15 which is 2ft on a side for round numbers weighs in at 110ish. That's a much smaller home audio cab but the point is... If you made it with mdf, expect 200+ pounds. 120 with wheels is very doable imo.

yes it is super easy, I can't stress that enough. don't confuse size with weight. It is big, not heavy
