#1 Post by Kelby »

My son Jordan and I built this THT LP, which now shakes our living room. Enjoy!

A family project...awesome!

It's good to see the son wearing safety glasses.

What a great family project! It's great seeing the kids involved. My son is 3 and he's already shown a great interest in woodworking....just makes a father proud. *sniffle*

The THT LP turned out great. Love the finish on it too. IIRC, you have to do a mod on the BASH amp to remove/lower the lowpass...clipping a resistor or something like that. Did you do that or am I thinking about something else? Again, GREAT job!

Mike, thanks much. There are some tweaks with the resistors, but I haven't done them yet. I just set up the amp yesterday, and haven't tinkered with it much yet.

I'm sure you're having fun trying to knock plates off the shelves in the kitchen, right? Muwahahaha! IIRC, those resistor mods take the lower freq range of the amp under 30Hz; there is quite a bit of LF content in movies from the past decade or so, particularly on BluRay. Enjoy!
