This is the statement that is miss-leading. I could care less about the SPL that was measured, but this could have been a fairly close response measurement, giving an apples-to-apples response comparison of the drivers in the cabinet. If you ever get around to it, I am very curious about this driver.

FTR, "Frankenspeakers" dual loaded TT was stupid loud according to the descriptions posted by those in attendance.

I'd love to take it outside and do some sweeps sometime, I just lack the motivation (not to mention it weighs a ton). 8)

If I ever get a chance, I'll be sure to post the results.

I got sick of looking at the plywood box in the corner and decided to do something about it. If you've seen any of my other builds, I'm doing the same theme on this one to blend in with the others.

I started with 1"x4" boards, ripped them at 45 degrees and glued two of them together to form a leg. I ended up trimming each board down to a hair over 3" wide because I liked it better visually. Painters tape works great for holding everything in place while the glue dries. The two legs with the shorter section go on the front where the horn mouth is.
Image

Lowes didn't have a big enough top for the massive Table Tuba, so I glued two 16"x32" tops together.

Leg staining done.
Image

I glued 1/4" birch plywood to each side and stained it.

Front legs attached.
Image

Rear legs and side top/bottom trim pieces attached.
Image

The last of the trim pieces attached.

I don't have pictures, but the top is attached now and I applied the first coat of polyurethane last night. My goal is to have it finished up within a few days.

Thanks! It doesn't hold a candle to your SLA's though

Looks like we're not too far away from one another.

Nah this is stellar. I think i'm going to steal this idea. Logan is only about 1 hr from my house, and I have a job coming up in athens I would like to hear your system at your church.

Sounds good. The church is in Lancaster (Lancaster Community Church). Let me know when you want to hear it and I can meet you there sometime. They have a fairly booked schedule with things going on during the week, but Saturdays are usually open. If you want to hear a live band, come to one of the Sunday services (9am and 11am). We need two more subs to fill out the bottom end a little more, but it still sounds decent.

I'm feeling left out. Can I come too if I bring a pair of T39's? I'm about 1.5hours away and would love to come see your church system. It would be cool to see the looks on the band members faces when you go from 2 to 4 T39's.

The more the merrier. I can arrange something on a Saturday sometime. I have a feeling that you might be underwhelmed judging by the builds in your signature.

Since the stage is so wide, we had to separate the current T39's and put them on either side of the stage to cover the entire audience. Depending on where you sit, you'll be thinking "that's a lot of bass", or "are the subs even on?". We'll eventually build two more T39's to help with that.

The other issue is that the ceilings are only ~10 feet high. We've had to supplement the OmniTops with four QSC I282H's (we already had them on hand), which are mounted about halfway back in the room on a time delay. The OmniTops are hanging in the front around the stage, so to get the full BFM experience, you'd need to sit toward the front. We're generally happy with everything, but the room is the main thing holding it back from being REALLY good.

You're welcome to bring a few T39's for us to sample

Okay folks, it's finally done. It only took me 7 months this time.

Thought I'd post up the final pictures if anyone is interested.
