Re: Arauco plywood
I paid around $32 for the last order. (5x5)
Re: Arauco plywood
You lucky so-and-so's. I live so much closer to the source but decent quality birch costs about twice as much or more here.
Re: Arauco plywood
I went to my Lowes and found out they DON'T carry the Arauco in our area; Home Depot doesn't carry it either. They do have the Blondewood but that it doesn't sound like a good choice. Guess I'll just keep hunting.

Re: Arauco plywood
If you got a Lowes and a Home Depot in your town, my bet is you have at least 2 quality lumberyards as well. Start there.Buzzboy60 wrote:I went to my Lowes and found out they DON'T carry the Arauco in our area; Home Depot doesn't carry it either. Call a cabinet shop in your town and ask then where they buy their sheet material.

For midwesterners, there's the acx at menards too. Its made by Bessemer plywood corp.

Re: Arauco plywood
We only have a Lowes in our small town and they've driven the regular lumber stores out of business. There is a Menards about 30 miles away and they show the Arauco in 1/2". I've never shopped at Menards and had forgotten about them. Thanks for jarring my memory.
Re: Arauco plywood

Lansing Michigan Menards (the south store)

Gosh, we were so close getting a Menards here in Hartland, Mich, yet Hartland township were forcing tough zoning onto them, causing extra $1M in fencing, so Menards gave up. I was so bummed. August 18, 20121/4" - 4' x 8' Premium ACX Plywood1/4" x 4' x 8'Sku: 1251060Model: 690048$24.99

+1 to that. Just about the only music thing that is same price or perhaps slightly cheaper over here, is B#hringer gear.Harley wrote:Be thankful you don't have to pay what we pay here! - even for our locally made stuff
