Funky looking SLA's

#1 Post by Patrick Mos »

Soooooo.........

I finished up my SLA's this weekend...it was my birthday present from me to...well...me. ;-). I let my girlfriend pick out the colour...still dont know if that was a mistake or not.....

But hey, if she lets me build speakers for our livingroom ( TTLS on the way ), that was the least I could do, right? ( I have a 5.1 system in the bedroom for watching TV, and a second system in the livingroom for my turntables and CDJ's... ).

What do you guys think?

The sound is very good....I need to tweak it here and there, so i give it a 8 out of 10 now. but i got a taste of what they are capable off....the imaging is great! As if the sound begins 1 meter for the SLA's, instead of the SLA's themselfs. Is that making sense? I'm dutch, so maybe the translation in my head isn't making sense. :noob:

Nice colour! Those look great, I approve. Were they an intentional match for the owl??

;-)

Noppe, I got a wall in my livingroom in that exact same colour....the owl came in later.

Don't know if I will paint the TTLS the same colour, or cover it in ratfur. in ratfur it would make a great scratchingpole for my 2 bengal cats...scaring the sh#$%t out off them if i turn it on....;-)

You're likely to get cat shit all over the floor the first time you try that.

Nice! I really like the color, reminds me of Turbosound cabs.

What drivers did you use?
