Melded array cutting jig

#1 Post by Harley »

After cutting piezos and one flew to smitherines with a sharp piece cutting my ear lobe, I built a safer jig PLUS I now wear a 'full face' protector. The jig is built with push blocksto keep the hands well clear of the blade.

Flip around type jig - one side does straight cuts, the other does 45 degree cuts. Look carefully and you'll see the 45 degree side on the bottom left and about half way along the bottom you'll see the table-saw slide guide piece underneath - piece of teflon strip with 0.25mm clearance.

Cuting the 45 - note two positions for the two widths

You sure the location in your profile is correct? You sound like the stereotypical eccentric British lord.

An eccentric English lord on a DIY speaker forum? Too busy drinking sherry in a smoking jacket sat in a large wingback chair in the East wing's library and being carted about in a Rolls Royce to slum it like the rest of us what what.

Harley, that is a beautiful bit of engineering.

:loler: Oh, yeah. That is me alright - an eccentric British lord! Now you peasants go back to your drudgery and stop bothering me. I am really quite busy ordering my minions around at the moment.
