Omnitop JArray x8 and T48 x4

#1 Post by lancemhorsley »

The church I attend Is just finishing up its new building and were in need of a new system. So after stalking this forum for a few months, but never posting i decided to Build 8 OT12 JArrays and 4 T48s. I previously built 1 Ot12 and 1 T48 27" just to demo at the church and everyone was blown away which gave me the go ahead. And just when i was about to start building, the new plans came out for the JArray so I chose to build them instead. I have been working on them for about a month and decided to share some pics. Im new to speaker building but it has been enjoyable so far.

Man, that's wicked. How many Titans? 8a10?

And how big is the church? That rig looks like it's ready for outdoors.

Its 104'x80' with 16' side walls and 30' at the gable and a cathedral ceiling. Right now Im only building 4 t48s 27" wide, with the option of adding more as suggested when i asked for help designing our stage.

Thanks for all the complements but its the plans. They seem to be idiot proof. (now I will screw something up). If you could only be the architect for some of the buildings we build our life's would be much simpler. Well done!

These really do look awsome...

How are you going to fly them or are you going to stack them using the brackets? Did you make any modifications to the cab?

They were not very hard to build at all. They take more time than the OT12 but not really any harder. Im getting some brackets designed so they can all hook together but carry no weight except for their individual weight. I should be getting the rest of the parts today so I will be posting more pics shortly.

Im not quite sure once i get it finished I will weigh them. They can be built out of 1/4" according to the plans though which may help.
