Installing/Attaching expanded metal grille

Hello all,

I'm approaching the end of the construction phase of my O12 build and am looking for some tips on how to best install an expanded metal grille. Per the plans, I've installed the standoffs for a full metal grille and will be using something similar to this:


Keeping it simple, I was thinking weather stripping on the standoffs to prevent rattling, lay the extended metal on top then screw it down with 3/4" anodized screws, a neoprene washer between the grille and screw head.

I do believe Leland sells screws that have attachable caps which might look a bit tidier...

Yep, use any #6 or #8 round head screw.
