Anybody got any suggested BB(or pine) suppliers in the Tallahassee Area?
I've called and called - seems everyone uses China Birch.
Thanks,
tom

G'day Tom,
Welcome to the forum
Just keep trying mate, if I can find Arauco in rural Australia, I'm sure you can find it or BB in Tallahassee!
Finnish Birch is what BB is known as here in some places.
If you have to have BB, try cabinet makers and quality lumber yards.
While there is an issue with Arauco production at present, leading to a diminished supply, I'm sure you'll find a bunch tucked away somewhere soon. Most places will carry it.
I have found non structural grades radiata ply (which is what Arauco is) to have nicer finishes than structural.
eg, what is called C/D graded non structural would = B/C graded structural.
What are you planning to build?

Built:
DR 250: x 2 melded array, 2x CD horn, March 2012 plans.
T39's: 4 x 20" KL3010LF , 2 x 28" 3012LF.
WH8: x 6 with melded array wired series/parallel.
Bunter's Audio and Lighting "like"s would be most appreciated...

First build will probably be a THT. Also hope to do a couple Jacks.Grant Bunter wrote:

The whole CD looks interesting - now if I can just find some decent plywood...
Take care,
tom

The CD is worth it IMO.
Once you start building Bill's designs the bug bites and there's no stopping some!
Not including my current build, there's 5 more cabs on the short list. Will they be all done by late October? Only time will tell...
Take care also

ps a little clarification: Arauco is a brand of radiata pine ply, not neccessarily non structural, could be structural!
