Running low amp level signal through an audio snake?

#1 Post by DJ Higgumz »

this is a :cop: , but I thought I may be able to get away with it in my situation. I'm doing sound and mic work for a wedding reception in a barn. I don't think I will go over 10 watts each side for the speakers. do you think that at that low of a level it is alright to run it through a snake? it is today at 2:00 and it would be nice to be in the back of the room.
Before Fitzmaurice, big bass could only be had with just a hook and a nightcrawler.

No. Even 10w is at least 10 times what the cable was intended to handle.

It also cuts off the high end due to capacitance.
