XTI and stereo link

EQ guys are using on their cabs/systems. A good starting place if you don't have your own RTA.

XTI and stereo link

#1 Post by subharmonic »

I may just be missing something obvious but if I want to EQ both outputs at the same areas and time is there a way to do it with the XTI software? I am running a DR250 off each channel and want to make the EQ corrections only once.

I haven't used it but bandmanager has a system eq as well as the individual output eq.
BAT10, Bad Auto Tuba. Reverse folded TAT to fit JBL 1014D, 350W driver, voltage limit unknown.

Unfortunately it's not that simple. But if you use the button "show both channels" you can have the original graph in the back and the new will show in front. That will get you close. Or write down all parameters and manually key for exact match.

can you midi map band manager or system architect? been using it for about a year and a half now but never bothered to find out. If so, that will be a great solution for the system.

I believe you can copy and paste one channel's settings to the other.

That is how I was doing it. Kinda lame and less than accurate. Luckily it would only need to be done once per speaker set since I use a Driverack to room correct, although I am not sure I like the EQ it does to the DRs, need to gig a couple more times with it.

That would be a winner. Still kinda lame that my obsolete Ultracurve 8024 has the link feature yet the amp doesn't, thats where I learned about such an option as I use it for my home stereo.

Little tip I learned about EQ. If you have the same frequencies cut and boosted on every channel strip and main (room) EQ, adjust those on the XTI. My major frequencies were 140, 400-500, and 1k-2k.
Hope that helps.
