For bridging, rtfm, then proceed very carefully. It isn't generally recommended around here. iirc the IPR3000 has a boatload of power so bridging wouldn't get you anything except a hot amp. What are you driving with them? Someone will put you straight on whether it's a good idea or not.
Speaker cables you can make about as easy as changing a lightbulb. You need some good eyesight to see what's + and - on the speakons , a small + screwdriver and a cable stripper tool. Use the 1+ and 1-. There's variable quality in speakons. Neutrik are pricy but you know they work well.
Neoprene wrapped cable is much nicer to work with, doesn't kink up like PVC wrap. In my experience the cable is always shorter in real life than I thought it would be when buying the raw cable. One of the mysteries of life. Make them longer than you think you need.

BAT10, Bad Auto Tuba. Reverse folded TAT to fit JBL 1014D, 350W driver, voltage limit unknown.
Re: IPR 3000
I suggest you search the Peavey forum for info on how to bridge.
You need to modify a speakon cable on the amp end with two plugs, 1 for positive and 1 for negative. Also pass thru the input signal from A to B. It is very specific but not hard to do.
I currently run two bridged IPR3000's. They do not get hot. They do not go into protection when driving 4 ohm responsibly.
However, you do need to know what you are doing. Do not do it unless you are 100% absolutely certain that you know what you are doing. As in, willing to bet your gear or your life if you have it wrong.
Peavey purposely did not build in bridging functionality on the 1600 and 3000, but not because they cannot do it. They did it because the bigger amp models can not do it.

Can I use 1/4 and use the banana plugs as wire?LEVLHED wrote:by buying speakon ends
Re: IPR 3000
1/4" plugs were originally designed for telephones and as such are inadequate for amplifiers of any significant power;
They have a small contact area.

Re: IPR 3000
Cut off the existing ends and replace them with speakons.

http://forums.peavey.com/viewforum.php?f=27 these guys know all about what you're trying to do. Don't blow your lowriders and come crying. I think you're nuts to try poking 1600W RMS at a single cab.
