I have my father order it in for me in 4' x 10' sheets and then he cuts to size for me. (he owns a metal manufacturing shop)

Is there a minimum open area in the grill when the application is for speaker cabs?
Is 1.6mm thick enough for heavy duty, or is 2mm considered heavy duty?
