I was setup on a stage that was 4' taller than the dance floor (perfect because the tallest middle schooler was about that height too haha) and the picture gives an approximation of the size of the gig space (i'd appr. about a 30x50 foot gym). I was having an issue with the T30 on set up and I didnt really have enough time to figure it out so I decided to take the Jack's off their sticks and place them on the stage. I've had good luck with decent bass return with them on a floor space so thats what i decided to go with.
I couldnt tell during the gig if my T30 was on or not but I had PLENTY of bass running with just the Jack's. I was asked to turn it down in the beginning but as the crowd got larger, I needed to increase volume a little. (No surprise there.) This picture was about 15 minutes in of the 2 hour gig. Id say by the end I had about 150 kids and parents in the place. According to my brother the sounds was awsome. Clear, even, and perfectly loud in the rear and sides of the gym where parents were mingling. Im thoroughly impressed and this gave me a little more confidence to get out and maybe do a high school gig soon. I'm definitely going to get the CD and start making some DR200's and maybe some half size TLAH's. I'd like to reuse the 3012's that I have since they were expensive but i cant see needing a DR280 for anything that I would be doing. Oh well. Onto the pic,
