A mid-Minnesota TT summers dream.

My shop. A work in progress.

Panels cut.

The week I started my build the temperature was in the 90's and so was the humidity. I made all of my panels in the shop (sweating my *#@!&'s off) then decided to move my build into the air conditioned garage/man cave and eventual home of the TT.
Driver test fit.

And we continue.
TT14.jpg
It's been six months since I built this so I don't exactly remember the panel numbers and I'm too lazy to look them up. Also a little distracted by the NFL Play offs. Play offs? PLAY OFFS?

Plenty of clamps and stabilizer boards while the PL sets to keep everything square.

I think you deserve some Harleys for that shop.

Thanks bassmonster. Just about there.

Filling the screw holes. I was really happy with the way they disappeared after sanding (not shown).
Table Tuba 028.jpg
Bracing ended up off center to be tight but does not interfere with driver surround.

Test fitting the rubber feet and securing the T- nuts that hold them on.

I put a couple of coats of primer on to help smooth out the finish.

Final paint. I used what was supposed to be a deep purple (cue Highway Star) inside the driver chamber and on the mouth bracing but it turned out to be horrible looking. The flash from the camera actually makes it look fairy blue. Will be repainted in black to match the rest.

Like I said, the flash makes it look very "Fisher Price". Totally unjust. Take the crayons away from the chimp.

And in its final resting place. Sort of. I had the mouth facing out just to admire my work a little and for the sake of the picture. I turned it around to face the corner right away after.

In lieu of a full review I will just say "nothing short of Amazing".

Major kudos to Bill for the designs. These builds are so gratifying and rewarding to the builder. Thanks again and I can't wait to start my SLAs.

Thanks guys. It's incredible how the sound just "envelopes you" as opposed to just being slapped upside the head. :slap:
