I'm glad we cleared that up. Are there even any photos of them all stack up? Has anyone got any shots of an entire wall of 8 or so tubas/titans? I mean I don't like asking for porn but y'know...

Ha, I saw that linked up on Facebook. How many speakers are there in total in that lot and how the piss did you manage to EQ everything?!

The trip for Burning Man this year had me install a receiver hitch on my van. Didn't use a trailer though because one of those basket tray things and a bike rack sufficed.
I have noted that this at least puts me one step closer towards being able to haul around something like a T60 (or two)....

Ha. Yeah that was - 8t48 - 6 tapped horn kick bins - 4 dr280 - 2 dr250 (as infill, we didn't use them in the end) and a dual t60 in the other corner, just out of shot bottom left. I had driverackPA running 3 way, t60 and t48s running same range, kickbins doing something and tops doing tops. :) can tremember, it was an experiment and I'll try something different next timei reckon. We had to set up around the house d&b system, so we were verypushed for space, plus we had a live drum n bass act on too taking up more stage space. Hopefully the next one will be a bit simpler.
T60 rules tho. :) I would definately prefer two duallies over 4t48. I agree with subharmonics review that the t60 sounds better than the t48, and therefore I'm assuming the t39 too.

Two smaller drivers will have less distortion than one big one, in a horn or not. It's recommended at the very top of the forum, but it seems the most vocal people don't heed the advice in favor of the larger drivers. :wall:

That's a lot of box for such a small space Dave. I hope you were paid accordingly for all the equipment brought in.

I believe you could've gotten away with much less. 8)

In addition, I see the disparity between comparing cabs has cropped up again. "T60 sounds better for recorded music than a T39"? :conf: What's to expect when one signs off nearly an octave higher than the other? One can fit in the back seat of a sedan, the other is half the size of a typical refrigerator. For DJ work T39 can get by, but T30's or a pile of slim T48's are a much better match.

Either way, EQ is still going to be required. If not, you're wrong. :horse:

Its my night. So I get the ticket money from Everyone thru
the door. For that reason we need a USP. We put more pa and effort inthan anyone else locally, with visuals, lights and the biggest pa we can fit in the room. Yes we could 'get away' with less. But image is important, and so I've put it all in there. :)
there may be a disparity in comparing cabs, but only if your criteria define small size as a positive. In this case I wasn't taking size into account when I said I liked the sound. And then I said I would rather have two dual t60 than 4 t48, which is taking size into account too, and still coming out in favour of the t60. (i think, I haven't done the volume calcs, just eyeballed it)
t39 is I'm sure a great sub, and I am in no way saying it shouldnt be used for 95% of PA duties, but I can transport the t60, so I want it. :)

Oh. And In conjunction with the driverack, I run an 01v for these nights. For Dj limiting purposes and any additional stuff- like the live band at the last one there, so I have plenty of eq available too. :)

Dave that's INSANE I love it

We have annual touring Rave type gigs with similar emphasis on Bass in Australia. Tickets are always well over $100 and they never happen often enough.

A smaller scale, regular event, club based, with an equally lethal set up would make an absolute killing in Sydney. I've got dual citizenship - AUS. & U.K., so on my next journey your way I'll be looking you up and definitely coming to check out a Bass Orgy
Any 'Daggering' happen? :loler:

That song on the video is a cracker, whats the title & artist please?

Subharmonic, the T60 looks HOOOOGE in the photo next to you, very informative thread and essential photo for scaling purposes. I wish I could fit one somewhere, even if just only for bragging rights!

Alex Gopher - Aurora (Shinichi Osawa remix), Osawa can be a bit hit and miss but when he gets it right it's very right. :D
