Hello all, my journey for Bass Bliss and monumental Volume is nigh on complete

Two T39's, Lab 12 Loaded, 12mm Arauco construction, 18" Wide, Lab 12 'user submitted modification', Dual speakon jack plates, very acceptable Black enamel finish, awaiting additional polish, feet & corner protectors.

As this is a Review I'll be concise. If you already have Titans (or any other BFM cabs) you can imagine my smile and incomprehensible level of satisfaction I have for the T39. If you don't, think of your fondest memory of being thrilled by Bass reproduction and rest assured that upon building the correct BFM cab for your needs, you will harness the ability to re-create that bass experienece over and over for yourself.

I'm still coming to terms with the smile inducing, clear, tight and loud bass my T39's produce, from bugger all power.

I have plenty more photos of the build, incorporating attaching final side, driver, panel 5A, external finish preparation, painting and more. Will add to this review over coming days.

I couldn't post a review without saying one last big thanks to Bill, Leland, Gregory East, Harley and the rest of the BFM Die Hard family that helped me out along the way and got me over the finish line

I found it straight forward enough. Hinges can always pose a challenge. Provided panel 2 and the Baffle Backer, along with 5 and 5A are fabricated together. Outside of the cabs, drilling out for Hurricanes & Tee's and trial fitting of the driver is very straight forward. If it was completed as an after thought it would be a nightmare.

A fellow BFM supporter gave me the heads up during construction saving me a whole lot of Frustration. The forum was an invaluable resource along the way thats for sure

That's pretty spectacular. I pity the fool that puts the first ding in them. Are you going to make some non scratch cases for them for moving them about?

You refer the "rear" of the cab a fair bit. A lot of the time that side is the "front" as the mouth is firing into a wall or corner!

I might post a video showing set up and testing for a house party I'm doing this weekend. I just used a sewing machine! Joined together two 12.5 metre lengths of 1.5 metre wide fabric to cover a section of wall to create a blackened dance area. I'm probably going to have to get some rubber mats as an inpromptu circle of death is a likely result

My girl is sewing me up some covers tomorrow from removalist blankets. I only made a very slight roundover on the corners, any suggestions regarding protective corners?

I spent the bulk of my time on the rears to ensure they would look smart, given they are most likely to be the front. Who doesn't like a nice rear

I was thinking covers for the move from lounge to carport BBQ.

If you're going on the road with a finish that fancy only road cases will save you from the inevitable dent.

Love Deadmau5. Real heavy beats that's right. My favorite's gotta be "Ghosts n Stuff (hard intro version, sick intro)

I don't know if these would necessarily fit in with your sleek finish persona you seem to be going for, but the Penn Elcom corners you can find from Speaker Hardware are nice and durable.

For hard cases, there is a cobber that makes them in the industrial complex where my depot is. I no him pretty well, he can sort me out if the need arises.
I've got a van with flat floor, carpeted, offering ample room for a further two Titans at least, along with some DR's if I ever feel the need.
I've got a mickey mouse, step climbing fridge trolley to move them about my house and other locations, which is well handy.
If I don't sort out feet or slider rails by the weekend I'll just use some 600 x 600 interlocking rubber tiles for protection.

I've been eyeing off those Penn Elcom Chevron corners that Leland has, I figure they would offer the greatest protection given there protrusions. I'm looking more fondly upon the sleek metal corners, but they will only really protect the corner itself. Its a big decision which could make or break the look of my cabs... what to do what to do

I should probably consult the road case manufacturer realistically - he is only 5 minutes away, so; I could take a cab with me, blow his mind, then rifle through all his collection of corners and stuff and try before I buy

The thinking Titanium Hand would have consulted him during the build and sought the privilege of De-canting his industrial sized receptacle of cab paint... whatever he uses, at a drastically reduced cost
Aaah foresight, always an option if my finish starts to age disgracefully

My T48 have an "L" aluminium extrusion for an edge all the way around and steel corners over the top. You might be able to do that and polish them to a similar finish as your cabs.

The locking Penn- corners are all 1/2" or 3/8" roundover I believe.

To be frank, I don't see any way to gig with these without them taking hits from time to time. No matter how careful everyone is around them they will suffer bumpage.

God those are gorgeous but I just don't see any way for them not to get scratched and damaged if they're being moved about all the time.

I feel like I have acheived what I set out to, I'm not generally one for realistic or practical goals. If I had the loot I'd build 6 more just for the ride. For as long as they are just a hobby, traveling to and fro to parties I'll endeavour to protect them with the skin of my tackle

If circumstances change, I invest more time into mixing, build some equally efficient tops, get a bigger / secure storage area and start to turnover some respectable $ from music. . . I'll cover them in carpet and reminisce fondly of the hours I spent building them and prowling this forum for the last three months in my twenties in the spring of 2011

Thanks for keeping me occupied throughout my recovery from surgery, this has actually been alarmingly cheaper than my typical vices not to mention educational, I've even got change left in my pocket to buy more concert tickets...
