Somnific Flux by Bill Laswell.
Almost lost me a girlfriend once - she was freaked at how someone could enjoy listening to such weirdness.
It is just as sinister bassy atmospheric soundscape, no real beat or rhythm to it.
Have fun!

Re: Halloween - spooky subsonic bass
For those not wanting just bass but music, I can highly recommend the soundtracks to the original PC game Quake which was produced by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails fame during an entirely ambient phase. Very moody, dark sounding stuff with a couple of tracks having worrying sounding whispering laid over the top.
Also again a PC game, Alien vs Predator the original 1999/2000 one which has a typically theatrical soundtrack.
I mean if this isn't the most downright menacing track you've ever heard then you may possibly be from a darker place than Earth...

For good halloween music I vouch for deadmau5- Ghost's 'n' Stuff, the hard intro version. Great beat and bass as well.
