Mine does not help with the builds per say but she does bring food and drink.
So let it be written ... So let it be done.

Did you do something different with the last set of braces ? And with a 30" cab, shouldn't it have 3 sets of braces ? How does it sound, any vibration ?

Me too.. painted the mouths of all our AT's. Gave her a brush, and away she went.Jon Barnhardt wrote:Although I do get mine to come with to the shop to lend a hand from time to time. Had her painting grills the other day. Yes, I know, I'm one of the lucky ones.
Good food, good people, good times.

I keep mine well away from my workshop.
The closest The War Office is only allowed, is to stand at the entrance so I can hear her say "Your dinner is on the table dear"

Re: First Build - 30" T48
Have not been on here for a bit, but will address a couple of points mentioned.
*No sister, been asked that many times.
*Hopefully her willingness to help daddy in the garage will continue, we shall see. She is quite a good little helper. Though my wife appreciates the build process and the end results, she is not as appreciative of the brown hands from pl, and the duratex on our daughter's clothes
*I do have 3 braces - I need to post some additional photos as the ones I have are at just the right angle to not see the others - As far as the bracing on the last panel, I braced according to plans, just not quite as symmectrical as what is shown in the plans (if this makes any sense) - but they are still spaced in a fashion to evenly brace the panel. Braces on other panels look more like what we are used to seeing. Cabinet is rock solid, no vibrations.
*Dan, do not drown yourself, it is all in good fun, and I have already been warned many times of what is in the near future for my wife and me in raising this little knothead..
Think I covered most of it.. Thanks guys!

+1 Absolutely! My wife paints home interiors like crazy. Haven't put her into service for cabinets yet.subharmonic wrote:The truth. They will paint the living daylights out of the house, but some how quality time building a cab just won't happen.UROK wrote:you'd have to have one heck of a wife/partner/GF/fiancee who'd be willing to get up in all that mess of paint!
