Fine for home. May work for pro application, but not recommended.

Maybe for permanent installations is huge rooms, but I don't think it's durable enough for live use. It says "conductors" does that mean there are two? If not then it's 50' of two conductor cable.

Looks fine to me. Copper is copper, plastic is plastic. The only problem with it is it will tend to kink when wrapped and stored; round jacketed wire is better in that respect.

I purposely buy cables with 1/4" plugs so I'm not tempted to use the cheap speakons that come with cheap cables. Genuine Neutrik ends only for my cables.

I use their installation speaker wire. Jackets aren't as rubbery as some other brands, that is good in my opinion, especially when it comes time to trim out a house.

As for my own system I have kimbre cables to my mains, scrap speaker wire to my center, monoprice to my rears and at the moment RCA 18 ga to my THTLP. BTW I was given the kimbre by my old boss. No way will I spend more than 30 cents a foot on speaker wire for my theater, I have never heard an audible difference between $10/ft and cheaper stuff. Don't know if I would ever go to zip cord though.

Big concern about using a zip type or other cable is if it goes inside the wall/ceiling/floor. Wire installed in home or business needs to be class 2 wiring if it's inside the structure. You can do whatever you want but code calls for class 2 to be used in these instances.

Just thought I would add this when we added home theater.

I have used Gepco Int. products since their inception. I have used them for video broadcast and all things audio. Their products are assembled locally (north Chicago) and their people are the best to work with.

Conquest is another company I have used extensively over the years and their products are assembled in Monee Il. Good people to work with and have been around the live audio scene since Moby Dick was a minnow.

So I bought this cable a couple of days after seeing this post, and it just arrived today. I have to say it's pretty damn nice! My package from Leland is coming today with connectors and other goodies so I can't wait to test it out.

Woohoo! Just made my very first cable! Eazy peazy and it works, testing on the multimeter at least. 30 ft 12 awg Neutrik speakons for T30's. 70 feet left over for the OT's. Wow...this is some really tough cable. :hyper:
