They are profires, but they are connected as adat preamps through MOTU 2408s. I was going to get the focusrite pres but they were out of stock. These sound just as nice and don't have the sample rate switch on the front panel, which was the big problem with the others.
99% of the time, things that aren't already being done aren't being done because they don't work. The other 1% is split evenly between fools and geniuses.
